bn2

What: Join the Glasgow Women’s Aid team as we trek up the highest mountain in the UK for the second year in the row!

After experiencing what was a breath taking trail to the top of the summit at 1,343 meters our team are gearing up to do it again and would be delighted if you joined them!

How it works: To register, drop us an email to let us know that you are interested and would like to raise money on behalf of Glasgow Women’s Aid and we can send you our Registration Form, our Agreement Form and a Fundraising Pack.

The Registration Form will ask you for your details and to pay a £20 fee via PayPal; the Agreement Form is to ensure that you understand the money you raise for GWA is for GWA only; and the Fundraising Pack is our way of trying to help you through your fundraising!

We also ask that you raise a minimum of £150. By reaching this target you are helping us tremendously to support women and children in Glasgow who are or have been at risk of Domestic Abuse so on behalf of everyone on our team, thank you so much for getting involved and starting this journey with us!

When: Sunday 9th July 2017

Where: Ben Nevis, Scotland, PH33 6ST

Our charity places are available on a first-come, first-served basis. To secure your place and support Glasgow Women’s Aid on the Ben Nevis Trek email ArrtiS@glasgowwomensaid.org.uk

July and the Reebok Spartan Beast

SR 200 2017

We definitely have a thing for endurance races here at Glasgow Women’s Aid so if you’ve not already tried Tough Mudder or climbed Ben Nevis then the Reebok Spartan Beast is calling for you!

The most difficult of the three Spartan races in the UK, the Beast is a 12-14 mile track which packs more than 30 Signature Spartan Obstacles before your final hurdle to Spartan TRIFECTA glory.

It won’t be easy but you’ll be doing it to support women and children in Glasgow who are fleeing domestic abuse on a daily basis and what better motivation do you need than that?

How it works: To register, please follow the links below to Spartan Race website where they ask for £100 for your participation in the competition. As your chosen charity Glasgow Women’s Aid will pay half of the registration fee to get you started. However we do ask that once you have made the full payment online that you send us a confirmation email and a copy of the receipt (either a bank statement or an acknowledgment that Spartan Race UK have received your fee will do) so that we can PayPal you back half of what you’ve paid!

After that if you drop us an email to let us know that you are registered and would like to raise money on behalf of Glasgow Women’s Aid then we can send you our separate Registration Form, our Agreement Form and a Fundraising Pack.

The Registration Form is just so we have a copy of your details on our Fundraiser’s Database; the Agreement Form is to ensure that you understand the money you raise for GWA is for GWA only; and the Fundraising Pack is our way of trying to help you through your fundraising!

Finally, we also ask that you raise a minimum of £200. By reaching this target you are helping us tremendously to support women and children in Glasgow who are or have been at risk of Domestic Abuse so on behalf of everyone on our team, thank you so much for getting involved and starting this journey with us!

When: Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd July

Where: Spittal Farm, Ninemileburn, Midlothian
