We are Glasgow Women's Aid are aware that keeping our staff members hydrated will aid them to perform at their best throughout the working day. As a result we have decided to invest in AquAid Water Coolers.
Our unique relationship with AquAid has also given our company the opportunity to help those less fortunate than ourselves, because with each purchase an automatic donation is made to The Africa Trust. These funds are used to build 'Elephant Pumps' - a modified version of an age old Chinese rope pulley system. One such jump is currently being installed in Africa on our behalf and it will be a much needed source of clean and fresh drinking water for many.
Our company's name will be proudly displayed on our well and we look forward to adding some photos and letters of thanks from the villagers to our site in the near future.
To date AquAid have built over 5,000 such Elephant Pumps across parts of Zimbabwe, Malawi and Liberia; and have donated in excess of £10million to charity.
From Wednesday the 6th of July 2011, GWA will be holding a fortnightly legal surgery . These will be held in our public access office at 30 Bell Street, betwwen 10am and 2pm. No appointment is necessary. Thanks to Lynne Collingham and colleagues of T.C.Young and partners for providing this service.
